US Govs to host international climate meet

Arnold Schwarzenegger, California's Governor has announced that American governors will co-host an international climate meet on November 18 - 19.
The Governors' Global Climate Summit will be held in Los Angeles to discuss collaborative action in the fight against climate change, he added.
Schwarzenegger said, "This international summit will bring together world leaders to develop creative, collaborative actions to advance the global climate agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that will be negotiated in Poland in December and in Copenhagen next year. Leaders from around the world are taking action to combat global warming, and this summit reflects our common desire to work together to solve a problem that affects all of us. By bringing together a diverse spectrum of leaders and ideas, this summit is an opportunity to produce real solutions and generate new economic and environmental opportunities in California and across the globe."
The governors' summit will also provide an opportunity for states and provinces to cooperate in reducing emissions and grow green economies. It will feature discussions on monitoring and reporting of climate change emissions, the sectoral approach to reducing...
