The bride and groom are usually so busy on their wedding day that without photos to remind them, many of the days events would be forgotten; with digital wedding photography you can capture all those amazing moments for everyone to see. Many couples have DVD's made of their day, which are great for some special moments but you can't beat a traditional photo.
If you want to take photographs of your friend's or relations wedding then you will have to do it on your own because you won't have an assistant like the professionals have. So, if you need some help for a wedding you are to attend and you are going to use a digital camera, then you may find some useful information in this article.
Most importantly try to ensure you don't have poor background scenery and that there aren't too many people in the shot. Often the couple is in the thick of a crowd and at this point it may be easier to try and capture just their head and shoulders.
If some of the guests are wearing glasses, they can be asked to stand with their heads a little down or sideways to avoid the glare effect from spectacles that normally appears when a flash is used. Although some interesting effects can be achieved when you take a picture of a subject with the light behind them this may not be the right occasion to experiment so make sure the light is behind you when you take your shot.
A zoom lens will often enable you to take pictures that would not otherwise be possible as people are not so conscious of their photo being taken. Allays be ready for the next digital wedding photograph because you can't ask people to repeat those unforgettable moments that everybody wants to see again and again.
The last thing you want to happen is for your digital camera to have half charged batteries and a memory card that is already half full as it will restrict how many shots you can take. For any camera with 6 mega pixels or above, you will require at least one gigabyte, preferably two gigabytes of storage space on your card if you intend to use high resolution.
The reason you need to set the cameras resolution to the maximum is because the colors will be richer and if you want to enlarge the photos, it won't be a problem. Once you have the images it is only a matter of printing out the ones you want and saving all of them on a CD for a permanent storage or presentation.
Photography is an art form that many people try to master, just like painting but how well your digital wedding photography images of the day come out will be down to your passion for photography.
